Key Highlights
- Replacement of existing open footing concrete culvert with a precast concrete culvert and footings. The culvert was installed to the following specifications:
- 3.0 x 2.1 metre concrete culvert;
- Removal and disposal of 345 square metres of asphalt
- Installation of 18 square metre precast gravity wall;
- Placement of 1500 tonnes of granular;
- Roadway widening (from one lane to two with shoulders) and pavement using 100 tonnes of Hot Mix; and
- Installation of 200 metres of steel beam guide rail
- Full road closure in order to conduct work.
- Divert >50,000L of water/day around work area (dewatering plan installed to handle up to 500L/sec).
- Installation of pre-cast concrete gravity block retaining wall (20 square metres).
- Installation of concrete slab below base of culvert.
- Site restoration including line painting, tree planting and guide rail installation.
